GeSY coverage, referrals and annual session allowances.
Physiotherapy through GeSY requires a referral from a physician. The number of sessions covered depends on the diagnosis.A €10 co-payment applies per physiotherapy session, up to the annual GeSY co-payment ceiling of €150. Once this ceiling is reached, no further co-payments are required for covered GeSY services during that calendar year.For the complete list of diagnoses and their corresponding session allowances, please consult the official GeSY physiotherapy tables.For adults, the most common allowances are:Musculoskeletal conditions:* Table 1: Up to 6 sessions per calendar year.
* Table 2: Up to 9 sessions per calendar year.
* Postoperative rehabilitation: Generally 18 sessions, with some exceptions.Other conditions:* Neurological and rheumatological conditions: Higher allowances may apply depending on the diagnosis and patient registration.Important: Session limits are annual and do not automatically reset with a new referral or a different injury. For example, a patient who has completed 6 sessions under Table 1 may only have 3 additional sessions available if a new diagnosis falls under Table 2.Referrals are generally valid for 6 months.

Requests for Additional Physiotherapy SessionsPatients who have reached their annual GeSY physiotherapy session limit may be eligible for additional sessions under exceptional circumstances.Requests require supporting documentation from the physiotherapist and referring physician and are subject to review and approval by GeSY.Approval is not guaranteed.
Home physiotherapy visits
StudioPhysio may accommodate home physiotherapy visits for patients who are unable to attend the clinic due to medical or mobility limitations, including patients recovering from a stroke.Home visits are offered on a limited basis, subject to availability, location, and travel requirements.Additional charges for travel and time may apply.Please contact us to discuss eligibility and availability.
